THE SYSTEM

The 8 Archetypes system maps how value gets created in a complete work-loop — and which function you naturally lead with.

The Work-Loop

A complete loop has 4 processes and 4 results:

  • Designing → Ideas,
  • Interacting → Agreements,
  • Applying → Implementations,
  • Evaluating → Facts.

Rule: if you skip a quadrant, you don’t get speed — you get distortion (reality-debt).

Where the 8 Archetypes fit

The archetypes align with these work-loop functions (psychometric perspective):

  • Designing: Concepter (focus: “what” / essence),
  • Ideas: Star (“what + who” / magnificence),
  • Interacting: Compagnion (“who” / variety),
  • Agreements: Negotiator (“who + when” / determination),
  • Applying: Achiever (“when” / realisation),
  • Implementations: Stabiliser (“when + how” / regularity),
  • Evaluating: Controller (“how” / certainty),
  • Facts: Optimiser (“how + what” / perfection).

Important: you have access to all functions. The test identifies your default lead function — the one you reliably run under pressure.

What the system is for

Use it to:

  • spot why you keep getting stuck (which quadrant you skip),
  • choose roles that fit your natural function,
  • build teams with missing functions covered (instead of “more of the same”).

The four predictable failure modes

These are the classic distortions when a loop becomes incomplete:

  • Design without Apply: idea inflation (brilliant, inert),
  • Interact without Evaluate: consensus theatre (social agreement replaces truth),
  • Apply without Design: brute production (output without coherence),
  • Evaluate without Purpose: cynical accounting (facts weaponized; meaning collapses).

If you want one diagnostic rule: your suffering pattern usually equals your skipped quadrant.

How to use your result

After you get your archetype:

  • identify the one quadrant you overuse (strength),
  • identify the one quadrant you avoid (your recurring failure mode),
  • take one activation step that forces loop-closure (not more reading).
