Where the 8 Archetypes come from
The 8 Archetypes are not “personality types.” They are functional roles inside the work-loop: distinct ways humans contribute when something real is being created, coordinated, executed, evaluated, and improved.
This system was developed from:
- psychometric profiling work,
- transformation design (what actually changes behavior and outcomes),
- repeated pattern observation across real projects and real people.
The result is a model that is:
- structural (about function, not identity),
- practical (about decisions and behavior),
- usable (you can apply it immediately).
What we mean by “archetype”
An “archetype” is:
- a recurring contribution function,
- a default operating pattern which especially shows under pressure,
- a typical set of strengths + blind spots.
It does not mean:
- a fixed identity,
- a destiny,
- a ranking system,
- a spiritual label.
If you use it as a label to feel special, you missed the point.
Standards (what we enforce)
We enforce these standards across the system:
- No self-sealing claims (“if you disagree, you’re distorted” is invalid),
- No superiority games (archetypes are not status),
- Reality-contact over narrative (results must point to action and evidence),
- Safety over intensity (if practice destabilizes you, stop and stabilize).
If you’re looking for hype, this will feel “too clean.” Good.
Who this is for
This is for people who want:
- clarity about how they actually operate,
- fewer self-sabotage loops,
- cleaner decisions about work, roles, collaboration, and direction.
This is not for:
- identity collectors,
- people who want a flattering label,
- anyone seeking diagnosis or therapy via a test.
