What an archetype means here

An archetype is not a personality label.

Here it means: your default contribution function inside a complete work-loop — what you reliably lead with when real outcomes matter.

You still have access to all functions.
But under pressure, you tend to lead with one and neglect another. That pattern is what the system makes visible.

The Work-Loop in one line

Value is created through a full loop:

Design → Interaction → Application → Evaluation
…and the outputs those processes produce: Ideas, Agreements, Implementations, Facts.

The archetypes map to these functions.

The 8 Archetypes (overview)

Each archetype is a necessary function. None is “better.”
Each has a gift, and each has a predictable distortion when overused.

1) Concepter

Leads with Design. Clarifies essence. Defines the “what” behind the work.
Strength: coherence, direction, principled structure.
Blind spot: staying in definition while reality moves on.

2) Star

Leads with Ideas. Makes possibility visible and compelling. Activates momentum.
Strength: inspiration, visibility, ignition.

4) Negotiator

Leads with Agreements. Turns interaction into commitment and timing.
Strength: alignment, decision, ownership.

The core rule

Your archetype is not your identity. It’s your default lead function.

Use it for:

  • better role choice,
  • clearer collaboration,
  • closing the quadrant you keep skipping.

Do not use it for:

  • status games,
  • excuses (“I’m just a type”),
  • boxing other people into labels.
